Delhi: A man from Srinagar has been duped after he unknowingly purchased a stolen car of ₹ 380,000 in Delhi. On reaching Srinagar Niyaz Ahmad of Rajbagh learned that the car he traveled to Srinagar from Delhi was actually a stolen car, as such was blacklisted.

The car XU 500 bearing Registration Number: HR26AE0090 was purchased from Bajaj Motors, Kreeti Nagar Delhi through a couple namely Faizan Mohammad and Sabah Faizan of 52 Noida, Delhi.

According to Niyaz, he was told to transfer the amount of Rs 380,000 into Bajaj’s Bank account after the documents will be sent to his home address in Srinagar.

Lately, it was revealed to Niyaz that the car was stolen and blacklisted as such no documents can be transferred to his name. Faizan showed Niyaz some more cars but all were stolen ones.

As Niyaz continued to pressurize the fraudulent, demanding his money back, he was told to give the possession of the vehicle to one Adil Jahangir a resident of Pulwama.

The car was handed over to Adil in return for a cheque, which could not be cashed till the date because of the nonavailability of funds in account.

On contacting Bajaj Motors and Faizan Ahmad, they both blamed each other, stating they played no role in the deal.

While talking to Adil Jahangir, he revealed that he was asked by his friend Faizan to receive a car from Niyaz against a cheque, which he did, and returned the car back to Faizan against his cheque, which could not be cashed on same reasons.

“I have paid the whole amount and returned the car back as well, I wanted to resolve the matter amicably, but till the date nothing has happened positively, I am now bound to file a case against these fraudulent,” Niyaz Ahmad said.

Faizan runs a car dealing shop in Lajpat namely CAR FX which Niyaz claimed could be a front for stolen cars.

“It is not just this Bunty and Bubbly couple but they have more accomplices in running this stolen car gang. Every time they show a car, it’s a stolen one or blacklisted for some other reason,” said Niyaz.

Niyaz has also approached some journalists in Delhi and is mulling to approach Crime Branch for getting the fraudulent couple and the gang taken to task and get his money back.
