Shocker: 200 Kashmiri labors and students with major symptoms quarantined in an open shed

Srinagar, Mar 30 (Only Kashmir): As many as 200 Kashmiri labors and 4 students, with some having major symptoms of deadly Corona Virus,  are kept for quarantine purpose in a shed sizing not more than 60x20ft in Hiranagar town of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, thus putting a potential threat to their lives.

As the Coarona virus threat looms the whole world in general, the people mostly students and labors travelling from outside Kashmir valley are not only complaining poor facilitates at quarantine centres but also even carving for their precious lives.

Talking to Onlykashmir[dot]in on phone, one of the four students Waseem Najar from Bota College of Engineering said that we were four students travelling to Kashmir, however, on mid way we were asked to stay for quarantine purpose, to which we agree, however, to our surprise we are bundled with almost 200 labors from Kashmir in a so-called quarantine unhygienic shed merely 60x20ft size with only one sided wall at somewhere in Hiranagar. He said the most problematic part of our misery is that some of the labors have developed major symptoms of virus.

They said we though requested the local people to shift us nearby college in Kathua, where dozens of students are presently in quarantine, but were asked to contact your administration in Kashmir.

Pertinently, students earlier complained about filthy, dirty and unhygienic conditions in quarantine centers.
