Srinagar, June 14: The Kashmir Football Academy (KFA) successfully organized the Kashmir Intra-Football Academy Tournament at Anjum Ground, Bemina, Srinagar, under the theme “Fight Against Drugs.” The tournament aimed to promote sports as a positive outlet for youth and raise awareness against drug abuse in the region.
The thrilling final match was contested between KFA Lions and KFA Tigers, where the KFA Tigers clinched a narrow but decisive 1-0 victory to claim the title.
The event was graced by Sayeed Tajamul-ul-Islam, a senior journalist, and Javeed Iqbal, Director of Friends Hospital and Chairman of Global Health Care Trust, as chief guests. They appreciated the academy’s efforts in combining sports with social awareness and encouraged young athletes to maintain healthy and constructive lifestyles.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation and is being hailed as a successful step toward engaging the youth in meaningful activities while combating the growing menace of drug addiction in Kashmir.
