A cricket match was organized by Kindness Towards Humanity (KTH), aimed at promoting sportsmanship and discouraging substance abuse among the youth. The match, held between the J&K High Court Srinagar team and Doctors 11 Srinagar, was a testament to our commitment to nurturing a healthier and drug-free community.
In the spirited encounter, the J&K High Court team showcased their talent by scoring 152 runs in 20 overs, while Doctors 11 Srinagar displayed commendable sportsmanship with their 87 runs. Unfortunately, the match was abandoned due to rain, but the spirit of sportsmanship prevailed.
Following the match, our NGO distributed certificates and awards to honor the players for their participation and dedication. Additionally, we took a proactive step by distributing sports uniforms to the youth in downtown areas. Our vision is clear: to attract every student towards sports, thereby steering them away from the perils of substance abuse.
Shariq Maqbool, President of KTH, expressed his enthusiasm for future programs, highlighting his commitment to organizing similar initiatives with even greater fervor. His eagerness was evident as he followed the match from Delhi via Facebook Live, showcasing the widespread reach and impact of our endeavors.
Rashid Khan, Director of KTH, outlined our ambitious plans for the coming years, ensuring that every event spans across various fields to keep our youth engaged in sports and away from drugs. His unwavering dedication underscores our collective resolve to foster a healthier and more vibrant community.
Lastly, Zulfikar Hussain’s poignant reminder—”Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must, just never give up”—serves as a beacon of hope and perseverance for our youth. His commitment to supporting the youth echoes our unwavering determination to do whatever it takes to empower and uplift them.
