PULWAMA: The Sub-Registrar office in District Pulwama has been lying vacant for the last month.
According to reports, although the district administration has assigned the powers of a sub-registrar to the Assistant Commissioner of Revenue, lawyers say that they are facing difficulties due to the unavailability of a full-time Sub-Registrar.
Advocate Bashir Kakpori said that documents and essential applications have been pending for more than a month due to the non-functioning and unavailability of the sub-registrar.
He has demanded the administration appoint a permanent Sub-Registrar in the Sub-Registrar Office Pulwama so that people can be relieved from facing difficulties. Giving additional Charges to ACR Pulwama will not satisfy the requirement and both offices may suffer, as the Sub Registrar’s office remains busy with documentation. Every day almost 40 documents are to be registered.
