Public Circles applaud DIPR for Naya Kashmir Film Making Competition

Aimed at nation-building development in Jammu and Kashmir, the Department of Information and Public Relations, DIPR J&K has announced awards and prizes for filmmakers for making short films on the theme of Naya Kashmir. The best films would be awarded with handsome cash prizes.

The winner of the Naya Kashmir Short Film making competition gets a whopping 2.5 lac and the first Runner gets 1.5 lac and there are many other prizes too.

Abdul Hamid, a young filmmaker talking to Onlykashmir[dot]in stated “The announcement of Naya Kashmir Short Film Making Competition by Jammu and Kashmir Directorate of Public Relations is a step in the right direction. It will highlight the path-breaking achievements of the Government achieved after the abrogation of Article 370 and the dawning of Naya Kashmir.”

Another netizen while commenting on the announcement by the DIPR, stated that it will also be a great boost to young filmmakers of Jammu and Kashmir. Besides, we are documenting the positive history that we witnessed under Naya Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370.

With no language barrier, the competition has been limited to only the domicile of Jammu and Kashmir, which will give an extra edge to the young talent of Kashmir. The participants can submit their entries between the 13th and 28th of this month.

Pertinently, over the years, under the administration of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has possessed a natural aptitude for navigating digital platforms and tools in Jammu and Kashmir.
