Let me spin you a tale, Once upon a time, in the far-off land lived a charming intellectual, let’s call him Ravi.

Ravi, an NRI, decided one day to call his mom and share some news.

‘Hello, mom,’ he said, his voice filled with a strange mix of excitement and apprehension. ‘I got married.’

There was silence on the other end of the line. Then, his mom’s voice came through, incredulous, ‘Are you comedy me?’

Ravi could not help but laugh at her unique turn of phrase. ‘Yes, mom, I am happily married.’

Helpless Mom surprised and quickly turned and said ‘Come home along with the bride’

Ravi, ever the joker, decided to drop another bombshell. ‘Can I bring the kids too?’

His mom was silent for a moment, then she let out a small, shocked emoji face.

To sum it up, our dear Ravi, an NRI, decided to surprise his mom with not one, but two pieces of surprises – his marriage and his kids.

The helpless mom, though initially shocked, quickly warmed up to the idea of having a daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

So the next time you think your family gatherings are chaotic, just remember this story and thank your lucky stars that you are not Ravi.

Remember, life is full of surprises.

Some are small, some are big, and some, like in Ravi’s case, are life-altering.
However, at the end of the day, these surprises make life interesting.

So embrace them, enjoy them, and most importantly, share them with the ones you love.
