Mir Zafar Iqbal is no more Director of Composite Regional Centre Srinagar

A number of complaints were filed before the concerned departments, including Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) repeatedly against the alleged financial and administrative irregularities in CRC.

The government has discharged Dr. Mir Zafar Iqbal as Director in Composite Regional Centre (CRC) Srinagar w.e.f 05/11/2022 following several complaints were filed against the alleged malfunctioning in the department.

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment Government of India under its order no PDUNIPPD/CRCS/19-20Recruitment/70/760/2022, dated 21/11/2022 appointed Mrs. Arifa Amin, Lecturer (Physiotherapy) Director incharge CRC vice Dr. Mir Zafar Iqbal. According to the order Dr. Mir Zafar Iqbal will be repatriated to join his parent cadre post of Assistant Professor (Clinical Psychology) w.e.f 06/11/2022.

Pertinently, Dr. Mir Zafar Iqbal assumes the charge of Director on 14/10/2020.

Pertinent to mention here, a number of complaints were filed before the concerned departments, including Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) repeatedly against the alleged financial and administrative irregularities in CRC.

An insider pleading anonymity stated that, despite the government ruling, the former Director is yet to leave the Administrative Block to resume routine teaching work.
