Hitting hard on NC for advancing familialism and VIP culture in Jammu and Kashmir, Aam Aadmi Party’s Kashmir incharge Dr. Ghulam Mustafa in a proclamation to the media said that most of the assembly incharges announced recently are from families considered VIP and have bureaucratic backgrounds and this again shows that NC is promoting VIP culture in politics of Jammu and Kashmir and the space for a common man in party’s politics is minimal,” adding, ‘Aam Aadmi’ (Common Man) of Jammu and Kashmir is present with Aam Aadmi Party to end “familialism.”
Shadab Peerzada, Politico-Vital Expert and Political Historian chatting with this news portal expressed that right from 1953 to 2019 individuals are seeing no distinction in the mentality of local lawmakers to handle what is happening. As the Government of India has winked Jammu and Kashmir to start the election process, local parties have also started to reconstruct their parties from the ground level like the National Conference the grand old party of Jammu and Kashmir have nominated their constituencies incharges but to my surprise, it seems the same old strategy to choose old privileged ones.
“NC has scarcely designated any youthful lawmakers or assigned any new legislators while the new analysis of local body races has shown individuals of Jammu and Kashmir that it needs new youthful and proficient lawmakers. I’m certain the old and duplicate book methodology of local parties won’t work further and individuals will dismiss them,” Shadab added.
Suhail Lone an emerging politician, while talking with Onlykashmir.in said, there is no question that National Conference is synonymous to the sacrifices, when it comes to the killing of its party leaders and members especially during the turmoil of 90s, however, the dynamic body of the party drove by father and his child neglected to protect these sacrifices by their functioning style of familialism. He scrutinized the authority that the number of children of the killed pioneers that were given command.
Another activist on International Relations, Dr. Muzamil Maqbool stated
“My ancestors supported NC and their founders till last breath but post Abdullah senior, everything changed. Caste played a massive role followed by thugs with money in their hands got mandate at places where they didn’t even visit after winning the seats.They Enjoyed huge security, pensions, bungalows, allowences even after loosing or upon completion of their term. They had given undeserving portfolios to friends, friends of friends, relatives, covert suppliers , golf caddies and so on. Now that NC has been into deep destruction for many years, they still choose patriarchy, nepotism over pure talent. Instead of complete revival and revamp of party structure, NC continues to pass portfolios from generation to generation. If a bankrupt father is a bidet, his son automatically becomes a toilet roll in NC. The best part is that NC rusty politickers at higher rack have used them well. This is prime time for NC to clear the debris within. There is genuine talent in Srinagar, south and North Kashmir especially in Uri where people have been associated with you for decades now. Instead of following the bullshit, you must bring in the real talent at the front. Leave the approach of destroying alternative talent which you have been doing since the 90’s.”
“We Kashmiris are in a fix since August of 5th 2019. Most of the people still have hope in you but don’t you dare to let it go to waste in coming elections,” Muzamil added.
