Srinagar, October 27: Senior Bhartiya Janta Party leader Malik Yaqoob has been elected as the Municipal Committee Chairman / Mayor of world famous Saffron Town of Pampore.
It is worth mentioning here that Malik Yaqoob bagged 8 votes while his opponent from Apni Party Arfat Khan bagged 4 votes .
Malik Yaqoob after wining the elections vowed to take all Municipal counselors into confidence for the development of Saffron Town of Pampore.
Malik Yaqoob affirmed “From building a world class Slaughter house, clock tower and quality roads and round the clock power supply is my priority for the Pampore town. Taking the issues of Saffron spice businessmen and farmers is my top priority. I envisage to build the Pampore town a world class quality facility vise.”
Malik Yaqoob was felicitated by large number of people on the occasion.
