A counseling session was held at Boys Higher Secondary School GG Mohalla Old City Srinagar in collaboration with UNICEF sponsored NGO KWIDE (Kashmir Women for Inclusive Development and Equality) for Adolescents through a series of activities related to mental health, decision making, and cognitive walkthroughs for testing concepts and terminologies.

Students in the age group 15 to 17 have actively participated and responded to experts in a healthy and highly motivated ambiance that helped them to ease out from the stressful situations arising out of the Covid pandemic.

The speakers on the occasion said not being able to navigate decisions day-to-day is one of the most debilitating aspects of disorders that impact cognition. This leads to difficulties in maintaining work, keeping friends, and leading a fulfilling life.

We need more research to understand how different brains make different decisions. Hopefully, then we can improve the lives of those living with mental illness, speakers said.
