Four including a militant killed in Shopian, south Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 05 (Only Kashmir): A militant and three youth were killed in a firing incident in Shopian district of south Kashmir late Sunday evening. An army spokesperson said that a joint Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) was attacked by militants traveling in a vehicle at Pohan in south Kashmir district of Shopian at 2000 hrs.
Pertinently, on 27th January, this at least Five civilians were killed in government forces action in same district, the state government filed an FIR against the army which evoked a hot debate.
The slain militant was identified as Shahid Ahmad Dar, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, a resident of Jamnagri, Shopian. One weapon was also recovered from the spot, he said.



The three deceased youth have been identified as Suhail Khaleel Wagay of Pinjoora, Mohammad Shahid Khan of Malikgund, Shahnawaz Ahmad Wagay of Trenz, all from Shopian district.
In wake of the killing of four persons which includes a militant and three civilians the authorities, Sunday late evening snapped high-speed Internet services (3G and 4G) in many parts of Kashmir valley.
The government fearing law and order problem also announced restrictions in parts of Kashmir on Monday, besides putting a break on Train services.
Meanwhile, Joint Resistance Leadership has called for a complete shutdown against the killings. (OK)
