Throat-slit body of BJP Youth President found in Shopian, South Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 2 (Only Kashmir): Police on Thursday recovered a throat-slit body of a Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) activist under mysterious conditions at Kiloora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Official sources told a local news agency that body of Gowhar Ahmad Bhat s/o Mohammad Auob Bhat, BJP Youth President Shopian, was recovered today evening at Kiloora with visible torture marks on body parts.
SSP Shopian Shri Ram while confirming the incident said that they launched investigations to ascertain the cause of death.
“He said that they are verifying whether the deceased is affiliated to any political party or not”, SSP said.
Meanwhile, BJP state general secretary and Incharge Kashmir, Dr Narendra Singh condemned the killing of BJYM district president Shopian. He termed the killing of Gowhar Ahmad Bhat a coward act.
